Suggestions for acid/serums

Post by jelli » Wed Jan 04, 2012 11:37 pm

I'm in my mid 30's, I have oily dehydrated skin and acne for as long as I can remember. I don't have any wrinkles to speak of (at least oily skin is good for something! ), but do have a few spots of hyper-pigmentation. I am most interested in trying BHA/AHA and am not sure which I should buy. I have tried samples of them both and my skin seems to tolerate them fine, but the samples aren't big enough to really have them do much for my skin.
As for serums, I love the oatmeal, and vitamin c serums. Would it be recommended to try other serums? Do I need an additional moisturizer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

AHA is more for surface exfoliation, BHA for clearing out the pores. Really, you could use both if you wanted.

Serums look good, but you probably need something with an oil component (a moisturizer is usually an emulsion of water and oil, the serums are all water based.) Try Firming or Camellia Passionfruit. For the hyper pigmentation, Super Serum might be worth a sample.
