Thanks for the reply JenW. I bet we would love it even if the formula was not perfect without menthol! Such a pity that an irritating ingredient has been added to the whole line ...

It just feels so unfair that there is always something wrong with the few light pink/peachy colours I can find here. Either carmine or too much shimmer or the wrong formula (liquid glosses dry my lips out and Buttercreams make them peel) ... and now menthol. For all the time spent here I have so hoped to be able to rave about SN lippies as other gals do.
JenW wrote:My recommendation for the time being.....try Smooth & Full layered with a Buttercream. That will be about the closest to what you are wishing for. If it works for you, I think more Butercreams could more easily be added to the line.
I might try that but all Buttercreams are too shimmery or too bold for me (I only tried one owned by a friend of mine but she has used it up already) so I think I will wait for some new colours first.

How about adding a few more Black Labels though? They are almost as good as ALGs and there has only been one new colour for the past few years, if I recall correctly. Bloom, Ambrosia, Bubble Gum and Innocent in the Black Label formula would be fantastic!

The menthol is in there to help a little with the plumping- it is a love or hate ingredient, and I knew that when I added it, but felt it was necessary to the recipe to get the full plumping effect.
With the Smooth and Full- some people see the plumping, others not so much, but with the menthol it seems to enhance the effect.

That's why it's in the formula. I'm sorry it doesn't agree with everyone, but there are 100 other lippies on the site, so I figured a few with menthol wouldn't be a bad option.

The next closest formula is the Buttercreams, so I'll try to do something with a little less pigment for the Holidays. I do love that formula too- it's the most long lasting.

Thank you Karen for finding time to reply. Yes, isn't it ironic that there are so many lippies and there is still something missing. And that when a new formula appears, there is something wrong with it too. I am so sorry for being that ungrateful but I am feeling so jealous seeing tens of new colours in a fantastic formula and being unable to use them myself. My lips are just too demanding I guess!

Anyway, I will try layering Pure under Butter Creams (keeping my fingers crossed for Pure to be available for the rest of my life!). And thanks for considering making some more Butter Creams, this would be wonderful!
