Professional makeup advice needed..

Post by gracieg » Mon Jun 20, 2011 9:46 am

Hi Silk Naturals angels,

I am so in need of some help here, as I am going gaga over SN products, I love all of them!! :D

For Finishing Powder, it's down to Date Bait FP or Tinted Blur Oil Control FP! I need either one that's good in oil controlling and give my skin radiance.

For E/S, I am eyeing Breathe and Princess, but Princess seem a little too dull??

I am also looking for these shades in particular, attached are the best pictures I can find. Any closest match in SN's collection, I'll grab it!!

Matte Chocolate Brown - Inuovi's Pecan

Red Earth's Winter Rose

I hope you babes can advise me!! TIA~ :P

matte chocolate brown....try Mousse. Look at the swatch pic on the product page.

I recommend sampling both of the finishers.

Breathe is definitely more complex than Princess in color, but the testure of Princess is more shimmery. I personally would pick Breathe over Princess, but I tend to go for color rather than a shimmery texture.

The rose color makes me think of Cashmere.

From what I saw another babe posting before, the other matte brown would be Terra which has more of a pinky red undertone?

I'm definitely taking Breathe then.. Shimmery is not too appealing to me. :P

The Winter Rose has more pink undertones to it which I see is lacking in Cashmere??

Try Godiva, then. It is a little pinker.

Thanks for the advice Jen, much appreciated! :D

Though they may be really pretty shades (I really must agree), I am still not too convinced with either Godiva or Cashmere closest to the Winter Rose. I am almost popping eyeballs running though all the shades and matching to get the closest.. My pictures really don't bring out the true colour so it makes it tougher to get a similar shade.

I must say I found the brown that I might fall in love with! Karen recommended Tru Luv and now I'm so gonna look for a lighter pink to match with it for a soft look ;)
