Mixing mediums for foundation?

Post by MagRo » Sat May 14, 2011 8:32 pm

I find a liquid foundation looks better on me than powder as my skin ages (I'm feeling very old and I'm not even 35 yet!) Any suggestions for mixing mediums with SN? I found water makes it smell not so nice, and it gets oddly gritty in aloe vera gel and in sunscreen... any other suggestions?

Have you tried the All Purpose foundation? I'm older than you, and I find that my skin likes it quite a bit better!

How about a simple moisturiser to mix with the foundation?
Current SN foundation mix: 4 Buttery Gold: 2 Yellow Boosters: 21 Medium Ivory: 8 Original Ivory: 3 Glow
Favourite SN lippies (currently): Darling, Barcelona (Gumball), Menage
Favourite SN blushers: Carnal, Satisfied

I've tried with my Devita moisturizer and an Olay one- they both have SPF (I don't use any creams that don't have spf). Is there another one that might work better?

Mixing is a so-so experience for me...and chemically we don't really use the sort of titanium dioxide that likes to disperse in oil.

What I do like is applying it with a damp sponge, or damp brush- that works really well.
