How shimmery are ALG's

Post by JenK » Mon May 02, 2011 7:49 am

How shimmery are the ALG's. They are listed as being a 4, so they should be pretty shimmery, but sometimes the formula effects how the shimmer looks. I haven't tried this formula yet and want to place an order for my Mom for Mother's Day. She is in her late 60's, so I don't think she would like a ton of shimmer.

Thanks!

I have the Transparent one that is a nice gloss without shimmer. If you need a color to go with you may want to get a color lippie to add to it. HTH :) :)

Pretty shimmery. Like 4wheel said, the Transparent has no shimmer at all, but all the others have a hefty dose by themselves. I have to still experiment, because applying Blaze over Dixie is just perfect and not overly shimmery at all (I don't like frost and shimmer), but I tried Creampuff by itself and it was like frosty lips. It may look different over the stains, but I don't know if your mom wants to play with those. She would probably prefer the solid black label formulas?
In any case, the Transparent is a must: layers gorgeously over other lippies and softens their look. My favorite so far is what it does with the already perfect Wistaria :)
