Serum & Moisturizer

Hi, I am a newbie of this forum and would like to make my first purchase of SN stuff - Super Serum, Vit C Peptide serum & Firming Moisturizer.

The info of the Firming Moisturizer says that:

"......The one thing about the gel is that it isn't compatible with Sodium PCA- which is what we use in all of our serums...so if you're putting it on over a serum, just pat it on- don't rub it in- or you can put on the moisturizer and then add the serum on top......"

May you further explain how your Moisturizer is not compatible with water based serum?

What happen if I rub the Firming Moisturizer on the serum?

This incompatibility is not so much of a chemical reaction that will cause irritation. All that might happen is that the serum might pill up a little. I have less of an issue if I put my moisturizer on right after putting on my serum while the serum is still moist. Occasionally, when I let my serum dry first, and then apply the moisturier, I get the little pills. It is more of an annoyance than anything, but it does not happen all the time. They do brush off easily, and might be minimized by using less of the serum. Serum after moisturizer works, too.
