Help whith lippies, blush and eye shadows thanks!

Post by Erikan » Sun Feb 13, 2011 2:42 pm

Hi!
I would like to have suggestions of lippies, blush and eye shadows. I really don't know which colours look good on me :?
Not really good pictures but at least taken in daylight and without make up :) .

Thank you!

You have great skin! Very even tone!
Do you prefer matte or shimmers when it comes to blush?
I would try samples of Bronze Beauty (don't be afraid of the swatch on the site, it's quite sheer and I think it would be lovely on your skin tone), Afterglow, if you like pink maybe Stellar, or if you like straight peach try Lovelace, although I'm not sure if it might be too warm. Poppy could be nice too, but I'm having trouble telling whether you're more cool than warm. On my monitor you skin looks like to be leaning on the warm side, like the warm goldens as opposed to yellow golden like me, but then the colour of your top would make me think you're a cool (ebony's) and now I've really confused myself...!
I still stand by my first two suggestions because they're universally flattering.
Looks like I'm not the best person to try helping! :?

What eye colours and finishes do you prefer? Neutrals or brights? Matte or shimmer or somewhere inbetween?

Ah fat lot of help I am :D
Blush : Lovelace ~ Flare ~ Stardust ~ Foxxy
Eyes: Scandal ~ Neuron ~ Sprite ~ Zest
Lips: Zinnia ~ Ambrosia ~ Pretty Please ~ Mango

Thank you very much meadowbird!!
I think that right now I prefere matte in everything as I am into a more natural look (mum with a two year old child ;) ) But when I (later on?) go to more parties I could imagine a little shimmer. But I will start ordering matte now I think :) . I have heard before that it is really difficult to tell if I am warm or cold. Jenw says in the foundation thread that she thinks I am a little more warm but I can imagine it is really difficult to see on just a picture.

The top I am using is a wear-at-home-when-nobody-sees-me-top :D  So I don't think it is the right colour for me.

I will check out the colours you told me, thank you!!

I would also recommend Beach Bunny brozer - it is suitable for fair girls and though it is not matte it has very delicate shimmer. Just healthy look if applied lightly.

As for eye-shadows - Bailey is a very nice color - it is neutral, but not boring at all. But be aware - it's quality is addictive :-)
Liners are also great and I love Peacock a lot, you can see my review there. Others are also very nice.

If you could please tell what colors (greens, blues or etc) you would like it'll be little easier so suggest.

And I am a huge fan of Hot Blooded - it is the first red that doesn't look "she has taken mommy's lippie"
It is wearable :-) So if you want to "risk" it is a great color to try.

I think you can try Precious lippie - it is very tender rose color with some gold - the description on the site is perfect.
Current ratio, Sept. 13: 1 Ebony : 1 Buttery Gold : 15 All Purpose : 5 Ivory : 2 Yellow : 1 Liberty : 1 Beach Bunny
The mix is pale and does't look yellow

Thank you! I will check the products you recommend. I think that I like brown colours when it comes to eye shadows :) I like more neutral than bright.

If you like neutrals than you should take a look at the http://host.silknaturals.com/creb/naked ... -1200.html
and http://host.silknaturals.com/creb/stone ... p-109.html

They are both perfect. I have recently presented the naked-palette-clone to my friends who doesn't wear mush e/s as she thinks it's complicated, but she likes these a lot.

Good luck :-)

Thank you Die Marchen! They are really nice.

Now I found this one too: http://host.silknaturals.com/creb/smoke ... p-645.html. Would this look good on me or is it the wrong tone?

I post a newer foto as well.

Thank you all!!
