At least in Colorado we are prepared for snow, and ice. We didn't get much snow, only about 2 inches of very dry powder, but the cold is here. It is currently -5 , I think the high today was 5. Tonight it is supposed to be -15 to -20. But, it is expected to warm to 32 tomorrow, which will seem like a heat wave after this. 40's to 50's this weekend, but there is snow in the forecast again.

Oh darn, that's cold! My boyfriend is leaving for Utah on Saturday, I'll be sure to pack a ton of warm stuff for him. It'll be a bit of a shock after our 65 degree weather (although I'm cold in this one too, go figure) :)

We are having another snow day today and they are expecting some actual snow to fall tonight. I'm not sure if the kids will be going back tomorrow. It will be no fun making up all these days. I'm just glad I am able to be home with them. My daughter and I are just about to watch Ice Castles together. For some reason my 14 year old son is not interested.

I'm at work right now, it's been a bit easier going. My kids, of course, are at home. I don't get all these parents griping and moaning about the schools being closed. I would dearly LOVE to be able to stay at home with them and be safe and warm and not have the stress of being out in this mess. I have four days off after today, so I'm going to enjoy that!

LOL me too! It's been in the 60's in the San Fran area .. and a little too cold for me. It's supposed to be in the high 70's though this weekend, can't wait!

I hope everyone is doing ok and staying warm in this weather. It's the worst I've seen yet. I used to live on the east coast before moving to California and it was never this bad. I think I'll take the earthquakes over the snow 8-)

No snow here at all of course, but the wind has been blowin' like crazy! DH was driving to work yesterday morning, and a huge gust of wind blew his truck and about 5 other people across two lanes, and very nearly into the center divider.
But it is about 67 and sunny today.
And Colleen, you are right....too many earthquakes in Cali. I have lived here my entire 48 years, and gone thru dozens of earthquakes. Luckily only 3 of them were major, and non close enough for us to have any damage.
I don't really think there is anyplace one can escape from Mother Nature....especially when she is pissed off!

Its crazy reading about all of you with your snow!
I live in Australia, and we've just had crazy floods and several cyclones.
Our poor world is really struggling weather wise isn't it!
