I’m a 27 year old girl from Sweden that would like some suggestions for my daily skin care. I have very sensitive skin that gets easily red.
Some parts are quite oily, especially my fore head and nose and I have a history with acne. Nowadays it is mostly pimples in the oily areas.
At the same time other parts of the skin gets very easily dry and flakey, mostly around my chin.
I suspect that I have a very dry skin in general that tend to overproduce oil to counter act this and my main goal is to find a good moisturizer.
I have tried a sample for the jojoba moisturizer and really like the texture but it is too short time to decide if it is doing any good for my skin.
I work in a quite polluted city (for Sweden at least) and I figure I also need a good cleaning routine.
As it is now I only wash my face with water in the shower unless I have used foundation (which is very seldom) because I don’t like all unnatural skin care products that are out there.
I believe they are too harsh for my skin.
So I wonder if I should stick with the jojoba moisturizer or if there is any other that is better for sensitive yet oily skin.
Should I have some serum as well and how should I use it? Before/after moisturizer? Alone?

The serum should go before the moisturiser on your skin. I'd recommend the Green Tea & Aloe for the oily parts & Oatmeal for the dry & flaking parts
Hope you find something that works for you!
Hemp is supposedly good for acne skin too. Would you consider using different moisturisers on different parts of the face? If yes, the Intensive moisturiser is really good for dry/flakey skin. On the oily areas, I've tried Jojoba, Hemp & Raspberry and Jojoba was my favourite as it's the lightest.

That's good advice from Aud. I think that you'll find that using a serum will make a big improvement to balancing your skin. I'd also suggest trying the Rose Hydrating serum - perhaps just a sample at first - before starting with GT&A or Oatmeal longer term. The reason I suggest this is that this is a very hydrating serum and that hopefully will be enough to quench the driest skin. At 27, dry skin alongside acne skin can often be a sign of dehydration (lack of water within the skin cells) rather than classic dryness (lack of oil production which protects the outer surface of the skin cells). Rose is also famously good for balancing both an oily and a dry skin while being very gentle. This could help get things balanced after a few weeks of regular use, then you could move onto GT&A or Oatmeal, or whatever your skin then needs once it's happy again. Keep it simple and get it balanced first, that's the best thing. Hope that helps.aud wrote:The serum should go before the moisturiser on your skin. p.s. forgot to say, for cleansing, try the KISS cleanser. It specifically does not have complicated ingredients which can irritate or upset delicate skin and it's very economical to use with the foaming bottle. It's as gentle as can be but just about the most efficient cleanser for getting the job done without upsetting the skin that I know, too.

I am 29 and I had dry cheeks and ioly nose, but Rose serum helped me a lot. Oatmeal is a fantastic redness reducer.

I keep the kiss cleanser in my shower in the foaming bottle and wash my face with that. It is really nice and gentle. I really like the vitamin c serum to help with the acne and oil control. You might like to get a few samples and see what works best for you.

This is one of the ONLY cleansers I've been able to use long term (most natural skincare is tooooo much for my sensitive skin, think the problem is too many actives). I dilute it a ton and it still takes off my mineral sunscreen and makeup. It is gentle and gets the job done. I also have a bottle w/ added lactic acid for quick and gentle exfoliation. The 4 oz bottle lasts forever. I will cry if Karen stops making this!!Cupcake wrote: p.s. forgot to say, for cleansing, try the KISS cleanser. Thanks a lot for the tips. I just ordered full sizes of the jojoba moisturizer, rose serum, kiss cleanser, charming blush and the intro kit for the foundation. Can't wait!
