Updates?!?!?!

It's been an interesting few weeks at SN. We had a supplier discontinue the carbomer that we were using in the moisturizers- soooo we've had to get a slightly different carbomer. Carbomer just thickens the gel- it doesn't really add anything to the formula other than to make it thick.

So, while I was reformulating it, I made it a bit thinner than before. The new moisturizers are thinner so that they come out of the pump a bit easier, but nothing else has changed- everything else is the same, and other than the thickener you really can't tell the difference.

We're also in full swing for the holiday collection. It's one of my favorite times of year, but it's also the most frustrating. Suppliers are waaaay behind on their shipments, they're running out of stock of things, and it's delaying some things a bit here. Currently the order that I've REALLY been waiting for is delayed in customs, and no one has any info for me. The shipment of balm flavors finally got here- minus the white chocolate macadamia nut grrrr.....it's on back order for several weeks.

So the news is there isn't any news- but we're working on some other fun things! I hope your week is going well! It's all good- challenges are expected at this time of year, and we plan for them.

Thanks for the glimpse of behind the scenes at SN. This sounds suck-upish but I really appreciate the updates and other bits of information that you share in the forums! The tidbits about what items you're working on keeps us excited, and when you answer questions that others have it is very information and shows that you care.

Glad to hear things are in full swing but I can imagine it's a bit frustrating when the suppliers are not quite on the ball. I'm really excited looking forward to the Christmas collection. Last year's was sensational and you've never disappointed yet.

Personally speaking, I just moved house and thoroughly wiped out my savings. So while I also appreciate the delay in releasing the new loot, I'm saving up slowly to enjoy whatever delights the new collection offers! Sad about the White Choc Macadamia not being available yet (it's my favourite) and I definitely prefer that formula to the newer one, but if I run out it gives me time to give Shirley Temple a chance.

Thanks for the update Karen. I have been checking the site everyday. I can't wait for the Christmas collection to come out. I am planning on getting some lip balms for my mom for Christmas, she doesn't wear makeup. I think I wear enough for both of us though.

Just checking in- plans, and new fun things are in full effect! We'll be doing 2 releases because we have a total of 4 new formulas. The new formulas will be on the site this week- ASAP (I have to figure out what to call them, and design the labels and then take the pictures and load them onto the site).

They'll be intro priced because they're really new, but I think you're going to be very surprised and really happy with them. Then I'll focus on the other products including colors and the rest of the stuff.

OMG I wish we had smell-o-vision- the shop smells gorgeous right now.
