and the solution was in front of me the whole time!

I have a little redness on my chin, the sides of my nose, and just above my eyebrows. I have always found that color correctors (even the green one here ) did not work on me for some reason or another...the color may make my skin a weird shade, and if it DID work, it usually did not last very long during the day. Before I came here last fall, I used EDM's light almond foundation as my redness concealer and that worked the best. Since I stopped using them, I couldn't find anything else that worked and did not clog my pores or anything.

Soooo, just the other day I finally used my concealer brush, sprayed it with my mineral fixing spray I make, and then dipped it into my foundation to use as a concealer. Wow, it worked and it lasted all day! I can't believe it was in front of me the whole time and I never thought of it until now . And of course, this is after I placed an order for samples of the olive foundation to make my own olive tinted concealer (like Light Almond) that wouldn't make my skin look weird. I'm so thankful that I found something from SN that will work for me! I have completely converted to just SN makeup and skincare over the past year and my skin has NEVER looked better.

I like to do my foundation, then a little unblush, then a tiny bit more foundation on top, buff it together, then set it all with perfecting powder. I have to say I love silk naturals too, though I do mix with some other brands. (i use a Clinique undereye concealer, urban decay eyeshadows, etc)
Isn't redness the worst? I'm so glad all this wonderful makeup exists to make it go away!

Happyhiker! What do you use in your fixing spray? I've been tempted to make one but wouldn't know where to start! I've used PRT a few times which worked pretty well but I'd like to have a go at doing my own

Being the good former student I am, I have to give proper credit where it's due: before I discovered SN, I used EDM and frequented their forum. Philogene had a great mineral fixing spray that I copied the recipe and have it saved on my computer.

"This is how I make my fixing spray get a 50ml travel spray bottle fill it almost to the top with green tea add 1 teaspoon of glycerine and half a teaspoon of vitamin C powder !!! You don't have to keep it in the fridge as the vitamin C acts as a preservative. I find this bottle lasts me for 2 months it's really great for dry skin Hope that helps"

I will make the green tea and let it cool, then I'll mix in the glycerine and vitamin C powder (which I bought at Vitamin Cottage, I believe...you can find it at any health food store) and then pour it into the travel spray bottle.
