more tinted than not??

Post by namomof3 » Tue Jul 27, 2010 8:27 am

Is there ever a case in the ratios where someone (of darker skintone) might need more tinted than untinted? If so would that effect the coverage? Just reallly thinking out of the box. :D

It will affect the coverage a little, but it still might work. If you had the option, I would try to use some combination of our darker bases like Peach, Olive, or Deep Ebony.

The tinting ingredients on their own have the coverage somewhere between Original and Medium. Also, the tinting bases are very matte, where there is a very slight sheen in the white bases. If you did decide it was too matte, using Glow Base for most of your white might help. The other thing that might become a problem is if you skin is oily. The foundation might darken a bit when it blends with the oil.
