What to pick as my free shadow? =D

Post by feyith » Tue Jul 20, 2010 5:18 pm

Well, I've been on a no buy but I need to refill on some skin care soon. ;)

My favorite colors right now are Plush, Retro and Dreamy but maybe it's time to branch out and go for a new look?

What are your favorites? You ladies are always so helpful! :D

I have so many favorites that is hard to name just one. So here is what is getting a lot of love lately: Grassroots Green, Highbeam, Purr, Twister, Adventure , Cream, Nova and Sonic. Not sure that will be of much help to you . :)

Ooh, I was looking up those colors and also stumbled across Crush and Frosty! Why have I never noticed these before?

Grassroots Green and Gator Gold both look really neat. Are they kinda like Brooke? I can't do yellows but love green golds.

Is Nova a discontinued color?

I think Nova was a GWP.

Mmmm, Grassroots Green is pretty! It's greener than Brooke. Gargle Blaster is close to Brooke I think? Can't compare Gator Gold since I don't think I have it...

Right now I'm loving Sprite and Sizzle! Sprite looks white in the jar but has such a beautiful golden sheen... Charmed is fun too. I wear Teakie a lot in the summer, but it was discontinued last year.

Just a heads up....while Gargle Blaster is pretty, it is a little hard to work with since it is both very sheer and VERY shimmery. I don't have Brook, so I can't compare it, but take a look at the swatch for Gator Gold....it's a gorgeous mix of green and gold, emphasis on the green. The description makes it sound sound really dark, but it's more of a midtone to me.

It would be great if there was a random shadow generator!

If you have a few possible colors you are interested in, you could always assign them a number and use random.org to pick which color to ask for.

You could also take the risk of letting SN pick a free shadow for you (that's what they do if you don't choose one yourself).
