Bombshell and/or Heirloom ponder

Post by lambchop » Thu Jun 24, 2010 11:21 pm

Hiya all!
I'm pondering Bombshell. Crimson is way too cool on me and I'm waiting to see a swatch. Can anyone help? Also, is Heirloom neutral? I've seen a couple of pretty swatches of it. I love St. Tropez and Stockholm and wonder if, colorwise, it's close to offspring of these two shades. Any help/thoughts are appreciated. I have pale skin with yellow undertones, dark brown hair, and green-blue eyes.

On another note, has anyone received their MAC package? We're having a bit of a glitch with our mail lately...

Thanks and take care.

I don't have anything to say on your first question. I haven't received my mac package yet. I can't wait to get it.

I don't have Crimson yet, but I'm hoping my next package with it will arrive on Monday, and I'll be able to swatch them side by side then. :)

That aside, a find Bombshell to be a deep, deep red with a maybe just a hint of brown. It's very neutral and stays true on my lips. (A lot of SN lippies turn pinkish on me.)

I have a sample of Heirloom and just recieved ST. Tropez and I find them very similar. It may just be me, but they are so close I wouldn't buy both.

I've been wondering about Bombshell too, it looks great on clen3k!! Glad to hear it isn't turning pink. Crimson goes on pink w/ a hint of red and turns pink after 20 minutes.

I think my package might have gone missing. :( :( So unfortunately I won't be able to swatch Crimson and Bombshell side by side.

*Hopefully* it just went travelling around Europe and gets here eventually.

Hope your package arrives soon clen3k! When (thinking positively) I'd love to see crimson & bombshell side by side too. Hotblooded is a bit to warm for me. Need something with a bit more blue in it.

Bombshell is definetly darker and warmer. But neither turn pink on me. HTH!

Oh, I like both reds on you, but Crimson just lights up your face! There is definitely a difference, but they both have their places and uses :)
