Questions about Liberty Perfecting Glow and Zinc Powder

Post by Marion » Mon May 17, 2010 6:56 am

I love Liberty Perfecting Glow, but I wanted to try other glows before ordering a full size. However, the description says This is a limited production run for now...if it becomes really popular we'll add it to the site full time. Does it mean it can disappear any time?

Also, how long will Zinc Powder last if I use a heavy layer as a primer every day? I wanted to get a jar and a refill, but I have $15 more of stuff in my cart than I can order this time - after removing quite a few things - and really can't find anything else that I don't need. Thank you.

I am not sure on the status of this. I know it was initially a limited run, but it has been a while. I will ask and update.

Thanks for asking, because I love it too, it is lighter than TT, which I ALSO love but have to tone down with PP so it`s not to dark.
Liberty I can apply straight on. I would be very sad to see it go if it does.

How does this compare to TT shimmer wise? TT is about as shimmery as I want to go for an all over face powder. At times I too need to mix TT and PP.

I can try and swatch them side by side if you`d like?
But I would say that Liberty are not more shimmery than TT, I would say it is a liiiittlebit less shimmer, and the texture is a littlebit different maybe. But, I am going to get my camera now and swatch them for you in natural ligh so you can see for yourself ;)

Ok, I am back..
This was the best I could do today, so hopefully you get an impression of it.
I smeared it on HEAVILY so you could see the difference properly.

Tried to take pictures of the content of the jar but they just looked identical, so the swatch turned out better on the skin.

Liberty on top
Image TT on bottom

Image Difference in sizes (wish Liberty could come in same jar as TT)

As you can see Liberty is lighter and it has some shimmer, but absolutely not over the top, I can wear it straight without doing anything with it, and NEVER look like a discoball, so I love it a bunch!

TT I usually mix with perfecting powder because it is a littlebit too dark on me right now, but when I get some tan (I use the word loosely as I don`t get tanned per say, just a little more color) I can prob dust it on without mixing it.

...Oh and PLEASE excuse tha hairs

Ohhh, Liberty is so pretty! I didn't realize it's lighter than TT. I use TT every day, but I have it blended into a custom blend finishing powder with the zinc because it's too dark on my skin by itself. I'll have to pick up Liberty at some point soon I guess! Thanks for swatching that MLH!

I asked this on another thread, but...

Does anyone know how long Zinc Powder lasts? I bought some last summer and didn't use it when the weather got cold. Should I buy a fresh one now or can I finish the old one? Thanks! :D

MyLavenderHeart,

Thanks so much for taking the time to post the info and pictures. I will order a sample in my next order. I HATE the discoball look even on younger people, why cover your face in glitter.

I can get away w/ TT alone if I just use a dusting and pp can show up white, so Liberty may just be perfect.

THANKS!!
