Sultry Lipstick - oh yes, indeed!

Post by Cupcake » Thu May 06, 2010 9:05 am

Where have you been all of my life?! Oh my, it's perfectly named, the colour is exquisitely crafted and soooo luxurious. The formula feels like velvet - and the reason I'm maybe the last one around here to cotton on to how good this is is because I really don't like the heaviness of lipsticks, so I resisted trying any of these until now. Bigger fool me! These new formula lipsticks are unmissable and Sultry... hehe oh boy, that's one for the grown ups ;) I went from so scruffy and "the hedge I just got dragged through backwards, well, it won" to feeling polished and poised. How can mere lipstick transform my mood so much? I thought I was immune (given that I'm used to how highly impressive products tend to be around here... ;) ) Well... for me, this is a new high and getting laminated onto the top of the "must own" HG list.

I have seen swatches of it but it is nice to hear the feel of it is lovely too (not that THAT is a problem with Karen`s glosses... :D )

Thanks for sharing! :D

Isn't it fun to be 'ambushed' by a sample that will change your whole view about something? I was like you, convinced that I wouldn't even want to try something. In my case it was the dark plummy colors, ever since my fiasco with Sweet Nothing... that is until the sample of Fig Leaf arrived. Gave it a try and I am already the proud owner of a F/S tube. It also gave me courage to try Raisin (thanks JenK for the sample!), and it's on the top of my wish list. Nevermind they aren't really summery colors... meh, I want them and I want them now because they are just so perfect!

Hmmm...gotta add this to my wishlist now! I tend to avoid lipsticks too, but with the weird things my lips do with half the Kisser Slicker colors, maybe more pigment means less shifting in the color once it's on?? Worth trying I think!

And superwahz I'm terrible for eating anything I put on my lips. The glosses are okay because you can just keep reapplying without a mirror, but for the daarker colours, even though their staying power is great, I have to use Lipcote almost as a reminder not to chew hehe. You just paint it over your lipstick then keep your lips apart until it's completely dry. It doesn't feel all that pleasant, it kind of takes all of the moisture out so you're just left with the colour but it keeps your lipstick right there!

I know what you mean! I got a sample of Crimson . . . and fell in love. I also fell for Centerfold, which is another color I NEVER would have tried unless I got a sample. That one stays in the purse, and I can put it on without looking. Crimson is just that beautiful red, and of course takes a little more time to apply properly, but it is so worth it! ;) :D
