Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Wigine-
I am not sure on this without seeing it...
just a little list to check--
Is your skin hydrated? (even a mist with plain water can help)
Is your brush loaded evenly? (sometimes it can deposit foundaiton in spots if the foundation is loaded all in one spot on the brush...swirly bowls help)
Are you going over that area several times without realizing it and the foundation is heavier there?
What coverage level are you using?....sometimes it is better to go to a lighter coverage and do a few layers.
Is your brush clean?
Sometimes it does take about an hour for the foundaiton to blend....it all depends on how dry your skin is.
If one of the above does not fit, can you describe it with a little more detail?

Jen,
my skin is in a very bad mood so even if I moisturize it I think hydration is the problem.
But people didn't noticed the powder but said I look fresh
so *no problem*
Thank you & have nice days

Hi Jen
I am sorry if this question has been asked? I was trying to re-formulate my foundation yesterday. I want to know whats the difference btw buttery gold and warm gold. I did the mix 1 scoop of white, 1 scoop of ebony and 1 scoop of warm gold but after a while it oxidised and it looks orangey on me..not sure if its the oil. I used the love lure as the finisher but not much of oil control I see. I don't want to add the primers into my mix as yet as I want to know what works the best for my oily face.
Thanks dear.

There is basically peach/slight red in Warm Gold that is not in Buttery Gold. It sounds like Warm Gold is too orange for you.emmy2410 wrote:Hi Jen

Does anyone know the SN equivalents for following from EDM ?
1) Fairly Summer (supposedly an equal mix of Beige Sunkissed Fair and Olive Golden Medium; Golden medium itself has golden & olive undertones)
2) Multi-Intensive concealer
After nearly 6 months of using SN, I still can't get a perfect match. What I'd mixed were wearable but not exactly a match. Not sure whether if I am being overly perfectionist but I do believe there is an exact match for me out there -- I just need to get the formula right! The closest match I had from EDM was using one layer of multi-intensive concealer and 2 layers of fairly summer. I can't use fairly summer on its own, or mixed the two together. What does that say about my undertone??

Hi there.
I am having so much trouble finding my match in the perfect harmony kit. I tried the fair recommendation of 1 dark and 8-12 scoops white. I even tried 14 scoops white. I played around with the warm gold. I know I'm way off with my shade because it's l way too dark on me. What am I doing wrong?
I am a fairly light, light person. I can almost never find my match in anything because it looks way too dark on me (even if it's ivory). And when I do find a match...it's when I've mixed a ton of ivory foundation in the lightest shade of foundation they have in the store. Oh, and I have rosaccea, so everything always appears darker on me because of it. Help please? Thank you!

I am thinking Olive...have you tried it? Then if you need to go a little yellower, add Yellow Booster. I was in the Sunkissed Fair range most of the year and Olive matches me best. It also might help for me to know what was off and what you tried. I don't know the exact matches for those...my samples are several years old and I am not confident the colors are the same as they were.jien wrote:Does anyone know the SN equivalents for following from EDM ?

It is very possible you just need to add more white until it is the right depth. Some of our customers need white with just a sprinking of color. Due to the rosacea, I suggest trying Olive. In that color base you will definitely need more than 14 white scoops. Try around 17-20.WavyCherry wrote:Hi there.

Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Hi Jen! Perhaps you can help me find my perfect shade? I'm quite pale, especially in winters, and my cheeks tend to go very red. I dress better in silver than in gold, but I do look good in my dyed-redishorange hair. I think at least....
Mostly I wear black, beacuse I don't know what to wear. I've been told that I'm a "spring", whatever that is, and that I should wear peach and pearl colours (the heck, could that be more vague?). I usually burn, then peel, then get a slight tan. I've used ID Bare Minerals once or twice, but their fairest is too brown for me. I've used EDMs Fairly Light last summer and Fair Medium this winter, but it seems Fair Medium is just one itty-bitty tiny bit too brown. I use mint concealer on my cheeks in what I feel is absurd amounts to cover the red, and I've used EDMs winged butter (for lack of a real concealer) beneath my eyes to cover the slight blue rings I always have.
Here's a few pictures without make-up. The light in picture one to the left is taken last summer and the light is a little off but good enough to see the red cheeks I've got, though only barely. Think bright apple-red as soon as I work up the slightest sweat, eat hot food or blush. Hmpf. If you look at my temple, neck and the chest above my boobies, you'll see a pretty normal shade for my skin.
Picture two is unfixed and taken one grumpy morning, before my coffee, to show off my morning hairdo. The light there is a little too cold/blue, but it gives a winter-look at my skin. Unfortunately, these are the best pictures of myself that I have, so let's see if you can make do with them.
