lipstick color ?'s

I love Eternal, but I find it not quite a plum as Fig Leaf.....still a great color and one of my favorites of the lipsticks.

I got my SN package yesterday w/ Eternal and Vintage. Eternal works for me, very neutral, will go w/ anything. It is a true mauve w/ a hint of brown. I was worried at first b/c it is so much lighter than my real lip color. After wearing it today and looking at it several times driving (the best test) I do like it. Perfect for days I just want to put something on w/o thinking. The Lip Sticks work much better for me than the glosses, my natural lip color has a harder time getting through.

I agree w/o everyone else, Vintage is a GORGEOUS color. Very wearable, w/ great coverage, more like a lip stick.

I hate to say this, but you do NEED Vintage, I can't imagine it not looking great on everyone. If I ordered Vintage and Eternal in my first order I doubt I would have placed so many orders. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing...LOL!!! I've really enjoyed playing around and figuring out what colors work for me. Eternal isn't an exciting color, but it really works well. Also, Vintage looks great layed ontop of Eternal. I found Eternal to be much more creamy and long lasting than Raisin and Sultry.

On me, Eternal was more brownish than Fig Leaf, and a bit shinier too, so I can't wear it. I don't own Negligee, but what I've been hearing on the forum is that it is a nice neutral with enough color, not like XXX. Some can wear it as brown nude, some as pink nude. You could wear XXX as base layer if it doesn't work otherwise, even with Modern Poet or Ice Princess on top of it, if you want something that's still nude.

I highly recommend Fashionista and Rapturous, I love them both.

Egerandi, could you compare rapturous to fig leaf? I love fig leaf and have been thinking about rapturous. Thanks!

I have Rapture, which is supposed to be the same colour as Rapturous, but it's the old formula. I can't wear Fig Leaf as it's way too brown on me. Rapture is more of a medium dark rose/plum colour, and doesn't show brown at all - on me, anyway. It's one of my favourites in the lipsticks.

I just received Negligee today and it is really nice! On me its a slightly deeper Mirage. I really love it! Its also has a creamier texture than the Rapture I got last week. Great nude even with my light skin.

And I like it that way! I'm too yellow-toned to wear Fig Leaf, but it looks fabulous on my cool-toned daughter. But Eternal is just perfect, just enough brown, just enough plum.
