Suggestion for e/s, blush and lippies

Post by MarieH » Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:25 am

Hi everyone!
As the headline says, do you all have some ideas what color of e/s, blushes and lippies would look good on me :?:
I already have a lot of e/s from the "company that shouldn't´t be mentioned", mostly in the brown category, but I´m open to suggestion. If you have any questions..shoot :)

First reaction, damn you are beautiful. Those eyes, that arch in your brows, that red hair! Sorry I gush sometimes ;)

Second reaction, you need Boom e/s. it would look great on your skin tone. I ~think~ lovelace blush (It's my current love). But I'm not the best at choosing that for other people. Or maybe something more gold to play off your gorgeous hair. Maybe Cider? I don't have that one so others will have to shout out.

And...and you know it's coming. Everyone needs Cultured lipgloss, haha :)

Your colouring looks similar to mine in the first photo - I don't have much red in my skin but you definitely look cool-toned in that one.

I've also got the red hair and the greeny-blue-grey eyes going.

If that's more true than the second photo, for blushes my go-to's are Embrace and Tart Light. I'm also liking Stellar quite a lot, Lady and Carnal (very lightly applied) for a more dramatic look.

Lippies - Infatuation, Soft, Nectar, Breathless, Rare Berry, Tender, Hot Blooded, Pout, Very Berry. Symphony from the Black Labels would probably work well on you, as would Fashionista in the lipsticks, and Sultry if you wanted a more dramatic, but not OTT red.

I'm having a bit of an eyeshadow crisis myself right now, but things I know I like - Pixie, Charmed, Fairydust, Fire, Cougar & Wildcat are a great duo, as are Hearthrob and Crush, Dolce & Highbeam, Bare and Cashmere are good one-colour washes, Intergalactic is great. Bittersweet and Mink are good liners, as is Wildcat.

Just some suggestions based on the first pic. In the second one you look a lot warmer toned, so if that's the case, say so, and I'll try to readjust here.

That's were a lots of suggestions you got Rhys!! I have to go back to the home site and look them through, haven´t been here for so long, yet!
As for my skin tone your probably right on both because I´m more cool in winter and more of a warm in summer, even if the second pic was taken in direct autumn sun wish give me a warmer tone of course. Makes any sense to you?
Thanks!!

I agree with Boom, perhaps, but not so much with Cider as an immediate instinct... though on second thought, maybe. Maybe on cider. Sample size???...

I am wondering if you could wear Dolce, Vineyard, Frills for e/s.
For blush, Flirt, Tart Light, Pretty Plum, maybe Cider? I don't have a lot of blushes, though, so others might know better.
For lips, maybe Frolic, Tender, Centerfold???... lip rec's are not my strong point. I'm thinking peachy-brown-pink and maybe a warmish (but not warm) coral-pink that isn't too bright? I also agree with Infatuation and Pout.

Definitely Centerfold, and I would also recommend Ingenue. I'm kinda tired so I can't really think right now, but those two came to mind as soon as I saw your pic. Gorgeous hair, I'm so jealous!
