Thanks for all the postive thoughts. Karen, you are right it does beat the alternative, and considering that he had chest pain for something like 6-7 hours prior to going to the ER last Tuesday, and that before he went to the ER, he fed and watered all of our outside animals, and unplugged and packed his C-pap, and took a shower and shaved. I am surprised that he didn't have a heart attack, and has no heart damage at all other than the 3 arteries that are anywhere from 85-97% clogged, depending upon which ones you are talking about. Add to the above that both of his brothers died of massive heart attacks prior to the age of 50 ( 0ne was 39 and the other 42), and you can understand why I somehow know deep in my heart and truly belive that the good Lord doesn't want him yet, and that he has been given another chance at life.

I will keep in touch, most likely over the weekend, after this nightmare is over.

Hollis - You & your DH will be in my thoughts. My grandpa had a quadruple bypass & lived a full, active life for years after it. Wishing you peace as you go through this together.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts, good vibes, and prayers. DH did well in surgery, spent roughly 2o hours in ICU and is presently on a telemetery unit. His first day on the unit was rough, but I think he has started to turn that around. He is up and walking roughly 200 ft very slowly, and states that he feels like a MAC truck ran over him, then backed up and just keeps running over him. If things continue to go well, he should be home next Tuesday or Wednesday.
