International Customs...

I received a package yesterday, which I know was over $30 (as I chose a free eyeshadow) but on the customs form it said $19 something, so I guess your software is still underestimating? I just thought I would let you know in case you want to correct this.
Thank goodness (as I am a total internet shopping junky) our customs limit is $1000, so it doesn't make much difference one way or the other to me

I looked into this....I think your order was purchased before the equipment adjustment. The purchase date is 12/17, and the equipment was adjusted around 12/21 or 12/22. Also, I think the orders reflect what you pay.

Just kind of thinking out loud here...Canadians- how is your postal system within Canada? We actually live sorta close to the border, and go to usually the Ottawa area a few times a year. I have a supplier in Toronto that actually drives packages to Niagara Falls, and does the whole customs thing there, and then ships them UPS from Buffalo. It works pretty well. I've kind of daydreamed about doing the reverse...drive them to say Ottawa, deal with customs at the boarder, and then pop them into Canada Post. It's not something we can do all the time (especially not in the winter because we have to drive through some pretty famously snowy towns), but it seems like it's worth asking the question.

That’s a nice offer Karen, but it would be cheaper for most of us to risk paying the tax and handling fee, from the US. Not to mention easier for you. Canada Post has some outrageous pricing, they don’t have middle ground between a letter and a full size package (they have something called a “small package rate” it’s usually about $1 cheaper than the large package). Generally when I get an order from you the postage paid is about $5, via Canada Post that same little bubble envelope would be about $10-13, plus tax. I also believe that if you imported them as commercial goods at the border you would have to pay taxes to the destination point and of course have to charge it to us.
