Finger application works really well!

Post by Aurora » Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:22 pm

So, I had a bad skin day, and needed more coverage. When none of my brushes did the trick, I tried to spot apply a smidge of foundation with a finger. When that worked like a charm, the next day I tried doing all my foundation with my fingers, which not only made the pores disappear, but everything seemed to last longer. 8-)

I think it is great that you found something that works for you!

I have heard of so many different ways to apply foundation other than the standard brush (including some brush variations). Some use flocked sponges, some add a spritz of hydrosol or water, some add moisturizer and apply with fingers. Also, remember, that there are still options to try! That is the beauty of minerals. There are so many options for application, and not just for foundation.

A lot of girls are using a stippling brush (like the blush brush) for foundation, especially for wet application. Can't say I've tried it because I only want very light coverage - just enough to even out my skintone. More than that and I look caked.

But I may give it a go one of these days, just to see if/how it works. If I do, I'll let you know.
