Unblush?
Unblush?
What's the difference between unblush and mixing your foundation slightly lighter and greener?

The difference is quite simply that if you put Unblush underneath your foundation, the foundation will hide the colour corrector. But if you mix your foundation slightly greener, then your whole face will look slightly greener. You can mix two foundation jars, though, one with your colour correcting foundation and one with your ordinary.

Yeah, after a lot of experimentation, I've come to the conclusion that unless your entire face is evenly red, it's probably easier to have a basic foundation and a green-corrected foundation - whether that's Unblush, or something you mix yourself. The green corrector is pretty intense so you hardly need any - Unblush is a very usable light green shade. Depends on how much redness you need to cover - just ordinary mild redness around the mouth and nose area, Unblush will be fine, but if you have unusual need for red correction, mixing your own will probably work better IMO.
Re: Unblush?
I really like Unblush but found it a little too effective, so I mixed it 50:50 with Sleep In A Jar Yellow (good replacement for Sunlight) and made a kinda 'lemon and lime' colour which works very well on paler skin.
Re: Unblush?
That sounds more like what I'll probably need. I'm using BE Fairly Light as my foundation right now. Was never able to find an EDM base match but a 50/50 Olive Fair + Fawn mix I made is the best color correcter I've ever used. I'm curious how that will interact with SN's foundation or if I should make a new batch/order Unblush/Sleep in a Jar so that all of the ingredients are the same.Cupcake wrote:I really like Unblush but found it a little too effective, so I mixed it 50:50 with Sleep In A Jar Yellow (good replacement for Sunlight) and made a kinda 'lemon and lime' colour which works very well on paler skin.

It doesn't. If you're used to EDM, then how things work with SN will be quite a change. EDM use coarser, thicker textured minerals and they opaquely mask out / blanket-coverage the area. SN Unblush and SIAJ Yellow colour correct but do not have that thick mask-like coverage. For one thing, it'd look awful under the eyes! So no, don't worry. Using a colour corrector balances the colour underneath but it's not a heavy cakey mineral which then mixes into the foundation layer applied on top of it. Best to try samples to see how it works. I was quite nervous at first thinking it'd never cover my dark circles but now I wouldn't use anything else for the job. (and no crepey wrinkles! well, no more that were there to begin with, put it that way)feyith wrote: I'm curious how that will interact with SN's foundation

SIAJ is a miraculous product. I didn't think of mixing it with unblush - that's something I should try! I bet it'd be my new favorite product.Cupcake wrote:It doesn't.
