Pink Blushes

Hello everyone!!
I am just wondering if someone can explain the difference between Cosmic and Stardust? I have stardust and I really like it, but I really need to layer it on to get some good colour, and I am wondering if Cosmic is a similar but more pigmented version? I don't really want to get both, or at least not yet, maybe down the road will get the second one, but for the time being I only want to get one....is cosmic more reddy by chance? I can see in the swatch on the blush page that it is much darker, but just wondering what people;s experience is?

Cosmic has a blue-toned pink base and Stardust has a little gold in it which warms it up into a softly peachy pink (but still definitely pink). Cosmic is similar to Charming and Babydoll. Stardust is closer to neutral and should suit anyone unless they are strongly cool or strongly warm. I think Rhys said that she's a definite cool tone (ebony foundation) and she found that Stardust looked too peachy on her but that the blue-based pink tones of Cosmic complimented her colouring.

From your avatar and the other colour choices that you've talked about, I would suggest that Cosmic would clash against your skintone rather than compliment it - fine if you want that, of course. Gemini and Galaxy would be better choices if you're looking for something more complimentary. They'd also go well with your lippy choices.

stardust is a peachy pink and cosmic is bright, hot pink. cosmic is not a darker version of stardust, they are very different. both have a beautiful shimmer.
like you, i find stardust is too light to be very noticeable on my skin. it it such a pretty color i wished it showed up better; right now i use it on top of other blushes as highlighter/glow and mix it with clear gloss to make the most lovely lip gloss.
cosmic does not work well for me. so pretty in the jar but i like tart better for me as a true, bright pink.
i do love galaxy and gemini.

I like Tart Light, though if you're a little darker, Tart would probably work for you - I'm pale (about 14 white to 1 ebony). I just tried Stardust again tonight and while the intensity is perfect it's got that peachy-orange look on me that clashes with my skin.

Tart is much more pigmented than Stardust, and absolutely blue-based pink. If you're cool-toned and looking for a pink, then I'd recommend Tart or Tart Light without hesitation. Another really pretty colour is Lady, though that's more of a light plum-pink - but still gorgeous. And it works well on gals with both warm and cool-toned skin (MAC Dame clone)

Embrace isn't pink, but it's an amazingly wearable mauve that's a very nice everyday sort of blush. Even on me - it looks like brick-colour in the jar, but that isn't how it applies at all. Usually I don't do well with mauve blushes (at least the ones I've tried up til now), but somehow ended up with a sample of Embrace, and got hooked on it.

Hi Ladies! Thanks for all your help . I will have to give tart a try for sure. I have a sample of Gemini and charming coming, so that might help me narrow down my choices. I want to get two full sizes, and preferably different colours completely! Oh, and I am also getting carnal, so I guess that makes it three!! Haha! Not sure I’ll be able to narrow it down.

Today I didn’t apply any bronzer, (which I normally do just tad after foundation to sort of add dimensions to my face again) and I tried the stardust again, and it is great! Still a little light, so I had to put a few layers, but it does show up, and the colour is great on, though if I have any colour it wont' show up, so not a great summer colour for me...but perfect for winter!. so, in the end I might end up with more than 3 full sizes!! I just have to say, I am much more happy with SN blushes than EDM ones. I have loads of EDM samples that I only used once, and never looked at again! They mostly all turned orange on me, and this is not a great look. I now have 5 SN blush samples, and everyday they compete to be worn!! I just don’t know what I did with myself before these blushes!!
Although in my avatar I look rather warm toned, I am pretty cool or neutral at least. In this pic I had used an EDM blush which I didn’t realize turned orange on me (in real life I never noticed this but in the pic I can really see how it looks orangey!) And after applying to my cheeks I sort of dusted all over my face, so I think that warmed up my skin a lot!!! likewise with my lips, I used a EDM blush which looks much more warm in the pics than in real life!! If I were to take a pic with either no blusher at all, or a cool toned one I think I’d look completely different! In the seasonal code, I am a definite winter - or I think so. In terms of a famous person who’s skin tone I think I might be smiliar to, i would choose Hayden Panettiere, or Jennifer Aniston, perhaps not in terms of depth (I am living in Ireland where there is no sun, so I’ve no colour!!) but in terms of tone I am similar I think!
Anyhow, will get some more samples! Too bad I ordered a full size flirt!! I realised afterwards with help from Cupcake, that this colour would be way to light for me!! oh well, c’est la vie!
