I love anything citrusy,or minty. Some florals are ok, but roses, lavander and I don't get along. I like the way they smell, but I start sneezing the minute I smell them. So please release something other than a floral. Thanks, Hollis

Roses. Roses! :) Fresh roses and cucumber.

I would like to put something on my face that is fresh, clean, refreshing-smelling. Nothing sickly sweet or overpowering. Just a hint of the essence of _____. That would be nice. If its a very obvious scent, I do get turned off because I feel that theres more "scent" than actual good-for-your-skin-ness, and wouldn't use it.

I do like the way Yonka products smell, as well as Pevonia, if you get a chance to get a whiff of them ^_^ They're smell natural and the latter is very clean smelling.

haha, I think with scents, preferences are soooo varied. I remember we went through something like this when Karen was looking into solid fragrances. Some loves citrus (me) and mint, but others can't take those scents.

So far, the only SN skin care product with a distinct citrusy scent is the Pore Minimising Toner. LOVE the orange scent. its there, but not overpowering so I feel like I bathed in a Citrus Factory. but I don't think it was on purpose, to make it orange scented. I think its the property of the oil.

Which, I think, is the whole deal with SN's skin care and make up. Nothing is in there, unless it needs to be and is useful. So, if something were minty, some people might be allergic to peppermint. Maybe we can DIY the scent? But even then, would the added component change the properties of the end product?

Me? I get my scent fix from using a aroma therapy diffuser in my wardrobe =) I get all the scent I want and my clothes smell like lemongrass and peppermint.

So yeah, if i could add a scent to the skin care, I'd add lemongrass or mint. Not lemon, cuz i associate that with dishwashing liquid and toilet cleaner. :D

Fruit distillates tend to be fairly mild in scent - apple, pear, peach, pomegranate (a bit pricey), even the strawberry.

Other stuff - I like frankincense, rose, lavender. Especially frankincense, cos it's great for dry skin and eczema. But it's not cheap.

Sandalwood helps a lot of skin conditions (just about all of them), but it's endangered - I use a few drams a year for medicinal purposes and even feel guilty about that.

How about honey?

i currently use a rose geranium hydrosol from GOW alternating with Sarafina's sweet lavender one (haven't been able to replace it). I really liked the strawberry one too but i try to ration it since i don't have much. I tried an apple one from mychelle that i liked too but their stuff is just too pricey for my liking. (i also loved their cactus guava mask- throw that out there in wishy land. lol)

I'm also currently obsessed with some black licorice scented things i have (i don't have a hydrosol, but the body spray is a perfect coal candy black licorice scent)

i like amaretto/almond scents too, laurie. My wedding cake was alternating layers of raspberry and amaretto.

to list a 'few': rose, lemongrass, peaches, kumquat, lavender, the ocean, vanilla, mango, bergamot & orange, apple, cinnamon, neroli, bubblegum, green tea, almond, chamomile...

but seriously... I'd rather the scent is a 'by-product' from a uselful ingredient than being there purely for fragrance, if I make any sense...
