Cultured vs. Polished Pink Vegan Gloss

Post by rubycat95 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 7:11 am

Can anyone compare these 2 for me? I love Polished Pink's brownish/pink color, and am having trouble deciding if Cultured is something I need too. I also have and love Maiden, so if it's very close to that one maybe I should skip it? I just love the vegan formula! Thanks to anyone who can offer advice.

Oh, I love the vegan formula too! I only have Polished Pink and Maiden right now, and Cultured soon in the mail (yay!).

If nobody else gets back to you before I get mine, I'll be happy to compare. Let me just say, I couldn't resist but order almost all the new lippies, even though some of them looked kinda similar to each other and to what I have. You never know when just one little shade difference will make for the perfect color! Perfect for that day and make up that is, because there is always tomorrow :D

Thanks, I'll look forward to your thoughts! Oh, and if you had to choose a favorite between PP and Maiden what would yours be? I think mine is Maiden, I just love it!

Yes, I kinda prefer Maiden too. PP is pretty, but it's leaning into the brownish/mauve-ish shades that don't always work on me. Maiden is my go to lippie when I don't wanna figure out what I want to wear.

polished pink is sheerer in application and browner than cultured

eta: I've lip-swatched pretty much all the lippies on my vox page if you'd like to swatch shop, that's why it's there: xarata.vox.com

Sounds like we have pretty similar tastes in lippie shades.......

Thank you so much, Samantha!

Package arrived, and I'm trying on all my new lippies - poor lips will need a bit of a break from all the swiping, rubbing off with tp (ouch, i know, not good) and swiping on new color again. Thankfully, the lippies are soooo nurturing, I'll be fine :)

Cultured is an instant success, but for some reason on my lips they are much closer to Centerfold than Maiden. I did a side by side (half lip Cultured the other half Centerfold), and I could barely tell the difference. They don't look alike in the tube, and Cultured is perhaps sliiiightly pinker and more colored than Centerfold, and they feel a bit different too as they go on. I just am running out of Centerfold, so I'm considering Cultured as a comparable substitute, we'll see.

Polished Pink is indeed browner and shows up darker on me.

I hope this helps too, sorry I can't post lip swatches.

Thank you so much for your description! I don't have Centerfold, but it sounds like I must have Cultured afterall :)
