Foundation help please!

I just received my foundation samples today and after mixing for over an hour I still can't seem to get it right!

I used medium tan and tan in BE, first was too pink but wearable, the other too dark. I found my colormatch in EM, i'm olive medium in winter and when i darken i mix in some medium tan. Unfortunately this made me break out really bad (i used the intensive formula).

I have all the basecolors and mixed them 1 scoop dark to 2 scoops white, since i'm tan, but none of them really matched. Buttery gold was closest, but too yellow. I'm afraid to experiment further and waste foundation.

So could you guys please help me out? Thanks in advance!

If I recall, Olive Medium is kind of Yellowy, but also pretty Green. I really think you might need Warm Gold plus Green Color booster.
