Yaayy package arrived today...

Post by Shirin » Mon Aug 24, 2009 5:55 pm

...and so fast!!
Fast post again! :D
I tried lovelace today and my 17 year old brotehr who isn't into make-up at all, lol, made me a compliment about my make-up, the cheeks, he said it looked so naturally glowing. MAybe it was partly the glimmer gel, that one was nice, I liked it even though I am not into shimmer as you might all know by now.
So thanks Karen, nice make-up!

Have a concern about my skin tone, I think i am not really a pure olive. WAs 2 weeks in the heat and sun of Antalya, and got hardly tanned. First, to my surprise, my skin gets red from the sun (burns I suppose° and only after a week it started slightly tanning, and now already the tan has faded. So what skin tone might I have? Ebony? :?:

Glad to hear it! And congratulations on having a girl! Does the olive match your skin tone? I'm as white as a ghost, and I have this little bit of a fantasy where people with some pigment in their skin don't get burned and just turn a deep shade of gorgeous bronze in the sun...the reality is, of course, a bit different- but in comparison- if I spend an afternoon in the sun I turn beet red, and get blisters- I've never seen an olive skinned person walking around looking like a lobster. It could be that they remembered their sunblock though...

I am still pretty sure you are an Olive, but you could always try Ebony. I definitely don't think you are all Ebony. I am an Olive and I start leaning more Warm Gold when I get a good tan. I think the redness you got in the sun is not something you want to match with your foundation.

Have you tried bronzer for the times you are a little tanner? Did you try darkening your foundation a bit?

It's just that I don't get tanned easily and for long as olives would...I did get slightly yellow though i think.
Is the glimmer gel for use as a foundation, can i use it just on bare skin and put make-up on it?
