Gotta love the postal system...

I know the post messes things up every now and then. But this is kind of funny. I ordered some Crocs off of ebay for my son. They were within one state (TN) of where I live, but they have taken a little side vacation through Puerto Rico. I love tracking, but you have to wonder where the mistake was there!

Anyway, I definitely commiserate with you when your packages run astray. Does anyone else have packages that took a little vacation before arriving at their final destination (not just ones from us)?

This is sorta funny Jen. About 4 years ago, when all of us on the AtM board were sampling minerals all over the the place, one company was offering 10 free samples of eye shadow so of course we all ordered. Well my package came, and all was ok. But on my yellow padded envelope, underneath my name and address label, there was another label
with somebody else's name and address, and that other person was you!
xx
They must have known we would end up being dear friends!

LOL! That IS funny, Laurie!

Well, just to update...the Crocs had a lovely vacation in Puerto Rico and now they are safely on my son's feet!

I know I had a tea order originating in CA come to me in OH by way of FL before, too!

Laurie and Jen,
I remember that, and the minute Jen posted about the vactioning crocs, I thought about the traveling eyeshadow.

How funny that all of us Heidi included would end up being friends on another forum.

Hollis, Heidi and Jen, I remember posting about how funny and weird it was. And yes, how grand it is that we are all friends on another forum.
Glad the Crocs made it ok!
xx,
Laurie

i know it's a cliche, but i live in austria, and more than once have my parcels taken a detour through australia. some parcels had a post-it with a short note attached to it, other times i only knew from the various post stamps on it, but the last parcel that travelled down under actually had a pre-made sticker on it saying "missent to australia". well, i guess they get that a lot

When I made dog collars, some of them took lovely tours all on their own courtesy of USPS.

One went from CT to TX to FL to PR to SC to CA and finally arrived in Washington State. The woman who ordered it joked that it knew it was going to a state where it constantly rained so it went on vacation first.

Hmm... I used to live in India...

I recall one time when getting mail from Bangladesh, the letter finally made it to me almost 5 months later, after having gone through Australia and the US first. I can't recall how many different country stamps were on the envelope, and unfortunately I never did save that one.

I also had mail sent from the US to India that took almost 4 months to get there, and that was without any detours - at least none were visible...
