I am trying to resurrect an old part of the forum. I’ll post FOTDs and maybe swatches that may be helpful to those needing some sort of color guide. For reference, I have light to medium golden olive skin. I usually have a little redness in my skin and as of now, I have weird postpartum skin. I’ll try to take pictures in natural light when I can. I’ll also list only SN products used.

Eyes: Latte in Crease and Medium Ash Brow Color in Outer Corner
Brows: Medium Ash
Cheeks: Poppy
Lips: Eternal

Eyes: Danny in Crease and Outer Corner
Brows: Medium Ash
Cheeks: Poppy
Lips: Eternal

Danny is gorgeous! The finish is satin and it is such an easy shade to work with. I wasn’t sure it was going to work well with my skin tone as it is a sage color (silvery gray green), but it is magical!

Danny looks awesome on you, as does Eternal:)
How shimmery is Danny? I've held off on it bc it's listed as a 4 on the shimmer scale. It doesn't look too shimmery on you.

I really can’t see any shimmer in it in the jar or on the eye; it truly is a velvet satin type of shade. I would say it is slightly metallic and pearly, but in a subtle muted way. Easy to blend and very buildable. Not too flashy at all! Go for it!

Do you know of any colors that might be similar in finish (satin, pearl, etc.)?

I remember a kit Karen offered years ago that was based on grease characters. Danny was in the kit. I got a sample years ago of Frenchie and it sounds similar to Danny in texture. I could be wrong about the kit, hopefully someone chimes.
I love mattes but they can appear dry on me, it sounds like Danny maybe what I'm looking for.
I was thinking about getting Limelight HD and trying it out on my lids too.

Yes, I remember the kit as well. Unfortunately Rizzo and Sandy were scrapped, probably due to pigment discontinuations. Frenchie is supposed to be similar in texture so I’ll be looking at that one for my next purchase. I am also going to peruse swatches to see if I can find any other shadows with similar finishes. I’ll report back if I see any that look promising.

So bummed Cider was discontinued. It was such a unique shade (golden cider with a hint of plum). I have been wearing it for years; so glad I have a few jars left. On a positive note, Syntax is a gorgeous slightly shimmery glossy medium warm pink rose. Definitely a complexion booster! Also Cult is such a wearable shade. Dark smokey neutral taupe with a hint of bronze shine; very blendable and goes with everything!
