Re: Eyeshadow Primer '?'

Nope - can't think of any reason why primers would HAVE to contain silicone. I think a lot of them do because it gives more slip (makeup goes on easier) but there are other ingredients that do that, too. It's kind of like the difference between SN foundation, which has great slip, no silicone, and s...

Re: Favorite Color Combinations

I'm trying to think in brown today, cos I know so many women love that colour - though I'll try to push you a little out of your comfort zone if I can ;) Lurid's great. It really is. It can be sedate or sexy or both. But here's a look I think just about anyone could get away with, especially blue, g...

Re: Any good colours for Blue eyes and red hair?

You might like the Lavender - it's a very pretty colour, and it isn't over the top. Also check out Pixie with Vanilla as a highlight. Taupetastic of course, Lurid is also a nice plummy taupe (and it's not as dark as it may look on your screen). For a one colour wash if you're cool-skinned then Cashm...

Re: Favorite Color Combinations

I have really, really deep set eyes - anyway - I bring Idolize (usually foiled) up over where the crease would be on most people (mine isn't even visible), and then use Bare as a highlight colour and blend the Bare up to the browbone. It works without foiling, too.

Re: Foundation Recipes :-)

I use a teaspoon (the measuring kind) along with the scoops, for ease. Right now my recipe is 1 tsp white base, 2 scoops ebony, and 1/2 scoop warm gold to warm up my skin tone just a tad. Lumiere's Light Beige and Light Cool (in Cashmere and Veena), EDM's Sandy Fair, and Signature Mineral's 1 Ivory ...

Re: Any good colours for Blue eyes and red hair?

The other redhead whispers 'Idolize'. It is fantastic! I've got a good collection of purples and greens and those are great, too (I love purples and lavenders, they're a go-to for me for eye colour). Regular taupes will work, if you go for browns, go for the plummy or gold-tone ones more than straig...

Re: Favorite Color Combinations

Hey Ladies - A-hem. Surgery got postponed til 11 March owing to everybody in the house coming down with violent flu, including me (bleurgh). So I can play favourite colours. Foundation: 1 teaspoon white base, 2 scoops ebony, 1/2 scoop warm gold (yes, I'm pale!) Blush: Flirt Lippie: Razzle Dazzle or ...
