Re: Eyeshadow Pressing Troubleshooting

Thanks, I tried pressing some and for the colours I tried it seems like an entire shadow (what I got in a standard container from Silk Naturals) will fit in the ~25mm (I think that is the size that was in the kit) size pan with room to spare. I also pressed some Alima shadows and used the Silk Natur...

Re: Eyeshadow Pressing Troubleshooting

How much powder fits in the pan from the round kit pans when pressed with the SN pressing medium?

Re: Best neutral colors for me

I completely agree on the corpse lip issue! I really find the swatch you did helpful as I've been in this same boat, looking for which colours I might be able to really use well for future. I love the mlbb's, more natural looks, and nudes that I can use to tone down a look that is too bright in comb...

Re: The Cream Foundation Thread

@EmSilkNat I'm going to guess you're probably N30. I think I'm NW20 (it's been years), and I wear the N30, and #2 concealer. Thank-you! Ha ha re: NW20 the only reason I know is that a lot of people use it as a reference for depth of skin-tone, so I went to a booth to have them figure out what my co...

Re: The Cream Foundation Thread

Since I don't order that often (I want to save on shipping), I was kind of hoping to make a good guess of the right shade. If I use Light Peach sleep in a jar and #2 Cream Concealer, what might it be? I think MAC NW20 is a bit yellow and dark on me. Neutral 20 or Neutral 30 were my guesses and I was...

Re: pink lippie

Like Mairi, I stare at the swatches and find a lot of them look so similar to each other that it's really hard to decide. Thank-you for the swatches and the descriptions. They're very helpful. I like brown-pinks and some mauves, but I find that baby shimmery pinks don't work for me. Unlike Mairi, Ce...

Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......

Hi Jen! Thank-you for your responses. It is really interesting to have the explanations/verifications to why this looks so much lighter than other mineral foundations and why the pink stands out so much in ebony at certain times during the "dilution". After some use, I've now verified the ...

Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......

Hi Jen! Though I sent an email thanking you, I haven't responded to your comments on this board. Thank-you for the initial advice! So here are how things worked, for reference, and... since I have more questions!: I would try Ebony with Pink Booster. Samples will still be your best bet as you are te...

Re: Thoughts on Cream Blush?

I haven't quite gotten to trying my SN cream blush, but for others, I've had success with putting a touch on my fingertip, then touching a left and right finger together to divide the colour between them, and then just gently touching the fingertip to the cheek to apply the colour on top of foundati...

Re: Are there only 7 Butter Creams?

I see Heirloom there: http://host.silknaturals.com/creb/heirloomlight-shimmery-pink-p-1112.html Not sure about Azalea. Oh, yes! Thank-you. I actually was looking for that other H-named one (which I saw on one of the swatch images) - Honeysuckle. I am interested in trying a Butter Cream but am not s...
