Micronized Zinc Oxide
Can I add this to my moisturizer and get some sun protection? I found this piece below but I'm not a cosmetic chemist! Zinc Oxides: Which One is Right for You? Regular zinc oxide has a particle size of >200 nm (nanometer), a visible whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, gives great cov...

Re: Pressing SN powders
Instead of jojoba oil, can I use baby oil? I picked up pressing tins and pressor at TKB Trading - very reasonable and good size tins. The 52mm will be perfect for foundation.

Re: Pressing SN powders
ITs the foundation and blushes as I use more of these than the shadows. I have my recipe down (1 Olive: 10 Ivory) but I'm still trying the original and medium coverage to determine which one I like best. I'll try drops of alcohol first and then add a drop or two of jojoba. How long do you think it w...

Re: Pressing SN powders
We sound similar. Between melanoma and rosacea, its tricky to find something that works. So if I just put in some drops of jojoba, mix well but to what consistency? Jojoba woul dbe great for my dry skin.

Pressing SN powders
I love playing the role of mad cosmetic chemist in my bathroom! Because I travel so much I really like pressed powders and came across a term I'm lost in: pressing medium. Do you really need one to press SN powders? I don't like adding extra "stuff" to the pure mix.

Re: Foundation Recipes :-)
Many thanks Jen for your advice. I added a half scoop of warm gold and it turned a tad dark on me. I added a little Temp Tryst but didn't like the effect so I guess I'll add some ULP to lighten it up a bit. I really love that ULP texture. The 2:10 ratio seemed so perfect! What is the benefit of usin...

Re: Foundation Recipes :-)
Jen, I just received my Perfect Harmony kit and I feel like the mad scientist mixing my base! I used 10 scoops of white to 2 scoops of Olive. Pretty darn close!! I am truly amazed how near exact the color is to my base skintone (the red from rosacea makes my skin pink and MUA all want to give me pin...

Re: Foundation Recipes :-)
I'm new to this whole mineral makeup bandwagon. I've tried BE, L'oreal, and a few others with no luck. The color turned orange, or it settled in my lines and pores, or it wore off so I need your help with the transition. :D I currently wear Revlon CS in Buff or BB Oil Free Compact MU in Warm Sand; t...
