Dupe of Bobbi Brown's Mini Shimmer Brick in Plum
I saw this earlier this month and have been lemming ever since. The shade is lovely -- a brownish shimmer with a hint of plum -- and flattering to medium to deeper toned skin. Its crazy expensive in Australia though (AUD 130???!!!) and waaaaaay out of my budget. My conscience won't allow me to wheed...
Re: Masks??
Powdered masks? Yipeee!!! *cough* Yes, please. The only other company I know of which sells powdered face masks is Skinfood (Korean) and I don't like the fragrance. Plus, they are kinda expensive (less than USD 5?) for one time use.

Re: Pressing SN eyeshadows
Got all itchy fingered and experimented with pressing shimmery eyeshadows last night. It worked! I did have to put a bit more aloe vera gel -- think ratio of alcohol to aloe vera gel was 3:1 -- and I used too much aloe vera on my first try by mistake. I couldn't pick up Scallop Pink with a brush unt...

Re: Skincare testing - mini blog
Bump! I just finished off my Rose and Green Tea + Aloe serums (each bottle lasted me nearly 2 weeks because the serums were quite liquidy -- just invented the word) with a week's break in between. Hydration-wise, Green tea + aloe is marginally better than Rose. But, Rose did a better job than Green ...

Pinkpomelo: Has Etude House opened in Singapore yet? They do a skunk brush as well which has got pretty good reviews.

Re: Pressing SN eyeshadows
I went against the crumbly norm and mixed the minerals + medium to a chocolate cake mix texture. Can't say what the drops to minerals ratio was. DSC00092.jpg Found it easier to deal with although drying time was longer. No baking as I am prone to forget that I have stuff in the oven and the palette ...

Re: Pressing SN eyeshadows
Tried pressing Cuddle and Cosy last night during essay breaks with rubbing alcohol and a bit of Fruit of the Earth aloe vera gel. Results were much better than plain alcohol and alcohol + glycerin as it held firm, i could still pick up the pigment with a brush and the colour didn't change. Yipee! Ju...

Sample pots
Can I send back the empty sample pots and their sifters? I have more pots than I know what to do with and since the price of little pots is rising, I figure that it'll save SN some money (and help the enviroment) if I return them.

Re: Can we layer serums?
eekpooh: I have the same skin as yours. Oily but dehydrated underneath. Using heavier creams seems to help so far but my skin still looks tired esp during winter. Which of Karen's serums have you been using?

Re: Anybody from australia
Nearly everyone in Canberra are either working with the govt or doing something at the ANU. Throw a stone and you'll end up hitting one of the two.
