I can only use this when my lips are moisturized well so I can apply an even layer of color..but its really a great stain. Its very easy to use, a little or a lot depending on how dramatic you want to be.

This stuff STAINS. In a good way. I used to swear by Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, but this product lasts much longer and doesn't leave a waxy residue. Dixie adds a nice, orangey-red tint to the lips -- it really enlivens my fair skin, and I know it will get a ton of play in the summer when my freckles come out. I love that I can swipe it on in the morning and forget about it. While it's still cold out, I like to layer a lip gloss or balm over it for shine and moisture. Adding a nude gloss over Dixie tones down the orange a bit for a more everyday, flushed look.

Love this!! This is perfect on my medium/ tan skin color. I love the redness as it's bright enough to show on my skin.

While I have liked Doll this color was just to bright and orange. I bought it based on the reviews which highly recommended it. So either those reviewers enjoy bright, true orange colors or they are layering this color with something else. Just too bright and way too orange for my tastes which lean towards natural/subtle. I do like these stains and the Lip Slicks which have just a hint of color.

Great stuff. It'sReview by Erica B.
Great stuff. It's very thin, but adds quite a bit of color. And it stays put, too. No tacky lip rings on my cups!

Turns a fire-engineReview by Melissa H.
Turns a fire-engine red on my pigmented lips, but can be sheered down with a wet q-tip (got that suggestion from someone else on the roxie stain page!). I happen to like the statement-making shade of red this gives, but it isn't as coral as I expected.

Love this! OtherReview by Shana K.
Love this! Other lipstains are so 'dry' & tough to layer on my lips out of the tube... I love this applicator! This gives a nice coral red 'Mad Men' stain to my lips after a couple of layers. Awesome!

Wow, WOw, WOW!Review by Audris T.
Wow, WOw, WOW! Well done, SN team!

This is so gorgeous sheered out and yes, it's slightly redder than I'd like but gives such a lovely pop of colour to the entire face. If you don't have time for makeup - just use this lipstain. It livens up the complexion and gives a healthy look immediately. I'd even get this in the blush equivalent if ever a cream or cheek stain version is released!

I've just finished gobbling down my dinner and while my dinner's gone, the lip stain isn't. It's faded slightly which renders it more natural looking on my lips. Love Love Love. Off to grab a backup and maybe a couple more shades :D

It might be too early to nominate... but if there's a 2011 SN item, my vote goes to the lip stains!

I thought IReview by Andrea D.
I thought I was going to prefer the cooler stains, but this is hands-down my favorite in the bunch. I can use it as a base for a nice coral with some pink on top, or for an orange red topped with Blaze or just bring out the orange/peach with full force topped with Zinnia. Must have summer color for all skin tones (I'm neutral).
Has nice lasting power and can be layered and layered (let it dry a bit between layers as it will intensify) for different effects.

This is a little redder than I wish it would be, but wow does it pack a punch. I have applied, showered, slept and woken up with bright stained lips. I'd say a 2-coat application lasts at least 24 hours. Will definitely be buying this in other shades.
