Blur- Tinted Finishing Powder

Blur is our revolutionary soft focus finishing powder.  It contains lots of silica to blur lines, and other imperfections.  Grab the oil control version if you have oily skin, or the regular Blur if you have "normal" skin.  If you have very dry skin go with the Clouds.  It's the same light blurring effect without the oil control.

Blur is very very sheer, and this version is lightly tinted.

You can use it as a finishing powder, or as a primer.

This is a little bit pricier than our regular Perfecting Powders- silica is a very expensive ingredient.  Compare ours with something like HD powder from Makeup Forever at $30 a jar- and it's an absolute bargain!

Blur Ingredients:
Silica-blurs lines
Magnesium Myrsistate & Mica- blurs lines, helps makeup colors stay true by resisting perspiration and oil.
Silk Powder- draws moisture from the air, and gives a dewy finish
Iron Oxide

Oil Control Blur Ingredients:  Silica, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Myrsistate, Iron Oxide

You get a 30 gram jar filled with 1 tablespoon of powder- enough to last about 2 months. Samples are 1/4 teaspoon in a 5 gram jar.

This is my Go-To powder Finishing Powder. Because I already have dry skin, I mainly spot finish where I have applied concealer. This blends in seamlessly with my foundation. If I use a tinted moisturizer that leaves behind too much of a glow, I finish it with this power and voila!, it looks completely natural....and I'm over 50 and applying with a 15x mirror! Fabulous!

I like to use this product in two ways- either on it's own for a no makeup look when my skin looks good, or I mix it with a heavier mineral foundation that I already owned and am trying to use up (Jane Iredale) and it softens the look of it. This is slightly pink and I already have a lot of pink in my skin, I would love to see it with a more neutral tone. Mixing it with my other foundation helps to neutralize it for now. I've tried the bronze finishing powders to see if that would help but they have too much sheen, this has just enough soft sparkle that shows in direct sunlight but without overdoing it.

This finishing powder doesn't create dry patches, and the tint keeps me from looking ghostly. I'm not very sure that I see much of a blurred effect, but it's not bad.

I spent $40 on Tarte's Smooth Operator (made with Amazonian Clay or whatever), and it would make my face so matte that it actually dried it out too much which made it produce more oil later in the day. The pure white formula also washed me out. I also found out later that it actually ISN'T organic (or completely natural).

This Silk Naturals finishing powder is one hundred times better and for $12 I can barely believe it. For the price and ingredients, this is a huge steal that is entirely worth it.

Beautiful air brush finished! It doesn't look too matt on my dry skin but even better after I spray my face with aloe vera makeup setting spray. This is my holy grail finishing powder.

Definitely does what it says - you can see the soft-focus effect. And I found it much less drying than other powders I've tried. But I'm surprised no one has commented on the crazy shimmer in this product. It's not super visible once you put it on, but it does show up in the sun. Going to try the oil control version to see if it's any different or more matte.

I have purchased this twice, once a bit lighter than the other time. I love this product. It is true that it's undetectable, yet it gives the skin this airbrushed look. I also use it to control the oil in my face (i got the regular version, not even the oil control version). To top that all off, I feel so good about using a natural product all over my face. I did not ever use foundation, only the occasional dab of concealer to cover a blemish. Now that I have found SilkNaturals, I love to use Tinted Blur all over my face whenever I want to look polished. :-)

Not sure whether you need another review saying how wonderful this stuff is! I just dust a bit over my face and it is invisible, the tint blends perfectly and my skin looks so much smoother. But it's undetectable so I wear it on its own for a no makeup makeup look. Quick and easy for a weekend look, dust and go. Love it.

Blur is the perfect over 40 makeup. It doesn't add to my lines in fact they sort of melt away! Doesn't over dry my skin and is my staple powder!

This powder is a miracle worker. Gives a wonderful airbrushed finish that is completely natural. Does not make my T Zone oily and lasts all day. One of my favourite SN products.

I LOVE this stuff!!! It's like airbrushing for the face. It really does blur lines and wrinkles giving me a nice glow. The tint either doesn't show or is perfect for me. Just got some for my mom too. :)

This is one of the best oil controlling powders that I've found! Though it says it's tinted it is very light and sheer, perfect finishing powder. I just have to make sure and not apply it where I have dry skin because it really accentuated the dry flakies.

This is really a great powder that is completely invisible. It has some color, but once you put it on, it doesn't, and I am very fair. It just smooths out any lines. I will also order a glow next time for a little sheen.

I was a little skeptical at first but one try convinced me, the pores in my nose "disappeared" and wherever else I applied it looked much more smooth. I now use it every single time I put on my MMU - just love it! Congratulations Karen such an excellent creation!

I like this color - it blends very nicely with my skin color so I can dust a bit on my forehead and nose and leave the rest of my face dewey.

Blur is wonderstuff. IReview by Rhys M.
Blur is wonderstuff.

I was reticent when I saw the container - it looked DARK. And I'm about as pale as they come - 1 ebony to 14 white for reference if you use SN's foundation. Then there was the dewy bit - whenever I've tried these kinds of finishing powders before, dewy has usually been closer to radioactive.

So imagine my delight when it gave my skin just the right hint of colour, not four shades too dark, with a touch of healthy glow, and the imperfections vanished. This is great stuff - you won't looked airbrushed the way pancake makeup makes you look airbrushed, and you won't look like a space alien running a fever. It'll still be your skin - just free from imperfections and younger looking.

Think Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. And who doesn't want skin like that?

BLUR is theReview by Shana K.
BLUR is the perfect name for this perfecting powder! As I apply, it is like watching the face in the mirror get corrected in PhotoShop. I'm probably at my palest of the year and it still looks natural. It is great for this winter weather when my skin tends to dry out no matter how much I exfoliate and mositurize. I highly recommend it!

NOT selecting my age, ROFGiggling!!! No way! Anything over 40 should just say *old enough to KNOW Good Stuff* ;-)

I've been wearing Blur as my favorite finisher AND using it as e/s base ~ love the stuff! Softens the look of lines/pores which is why I decided it would be a good backdrop for my e/s. Glad to have my full size! Good job, Karen!
