Hi Ladies,
I'm a new to Silk Naturals and I have to say I'm amazed by the makeup selections! I have currently in my shopping cart the Perfect Harmony Foundation Sample Kit. I'm looking for a few blushes, glows and possibly eyeshadows to get but I'm not sure what will look good on me. So far I have the following sample items in my shopping cart:
Blushes
Vino
Climax
Satisfied
Glows
Heavenly
I've been thinking about getting the Crinoline and Cupid Glow, but I'm not sure that look good on me. Any advice if I should get these? Also, what blushes and eyeshadows would you recommend for my skin tone? I've attached a picture below. Thanks!

Re: Help picking blush and eyeshadow colors!
I do not have deep skin like you do, but as my daughter does, and I have been using SN for over a year- with a lot of experience with many different colors- I think I can help.
I can tell you right now, that Climax probably will not show up very well on you. It really is a sheer blush, made more for fair-to-medium skin. It won't show up on my daughter Natalie- who is just a bit fairer than you are (Her dad is Hispanic and I'm white.) Flirt doesn't show up on her- which is why she wears Vino instead. Satisfied would be a better bet, as it has higher pigmentation. Vino is a lovely blush, and it will probably be OK. It's supposed to be for darker skin, but I wear it too and love it. I would probably suggest perhaps trying something like Carnal or Pretty Plum, because they also have higher pigmentation.
I love Crinoline. I wear it on both cheeks and lips. But my daughter has olive skin, and the cooler tones look good on her. My skin is rather chameleon-like, in spite of my fairness, I can wear cools and warms very well, I find.
Cupid is a great deal like Climax, and you might try that as an alternative to purchasing Climax or Satisfied.
But I really would suggest getting something like Carnal, Pretty Plum, or even the new Desert Plum- which is supposed to be a vegan, toned-down version of Carnal, which is a dupe of NARS' Sin blush- and it's a gorgeous color.
You might also try a sample of Date Bait- it's a pinky-bronze color and looks beautiful as a finishing powder, and it looks great on my daughter, and also my coworker that I've enabled. (She has deep olive skin.)
Hope all of that helps!

I would join a 12 step program for my SN addiction, but 12 steps are for quitters!

Blushes:
I agree that you should sample Satisfied rather than Climax for blush. Another good one for you is Embrace.
Eyeshadows:
This really is a personal preference. I would try any color that strikes your fancy on the all over wash page. I think the Highlighter colors might be too light for you.

Re: Help picking blush and eyeshadow colors!
Thank you for your help ladies!!
royalgoddessbeth -- Thank you for your reply! It has really helped me picking the right blush shades. Also, its very helpful to know what colors look good on other deep toned ladies, so thank you! I didn't think of the plum shades. I don't know how I missed them though, they're beautiful in color. And yes, you've enabled me into buying 5 more blushes
It'll be fun trying out all of these sample blushes.
JenW - Thank you for the link to the one color wash eye shadows. I was actually looking for a page like this! I'm looking for
one color that looks good for everyday use and brings a subtle pop of color to my eyes. I'm thinking of getting the
Cashmere shade. It looks like a nice neutral color with a hint of shimmer.
