It made my day...

It's been a rough week for the people in Haiti. My heart goes out to the people who were effected by the earthquake, and I'd like to do something to help.

So...post something here. It could be anything- something that made your day, a little joke, something cute your kids said, that your husband did the dishes, maybe a favorite recipe. Anything at all is cool in my book as long as you keep it clean (something that you'd say to your grandmother is usually a good yardstick).

Between now and Sunday evening, for each person that posts to this thread Silk Naturals will donate $.50 to Doctors without Boarders. I'm capping it at $500- but we only have 800 or so forum members- so tell your friends! Call your sister, or your Mother, or your best friend- post it to your Facebook status- get the word out!

What made my day?? Lots of things- but I'm especially happy about a certain shipment I got today, and puppy kisses when I got home. Puppy kisses always make my day. And I got to visit my Mother, and talked to my sister!

Things I am happy for today:

I had a great day (great week, plus it flew by, even better).
My new baby g watch came in the mail.
Husband is away this weekend, went to store and bought my favorite foods he hates.
Found out Nectar does work on me and looks great!!
Gave my dog a new hedge hog toy and she zoomed around in joy.
My SN order should arrive on Saturday!!!

What is going on in Haiti is too awful for words, my heart breaks thinking about it.
Karen you are very kind and have a wonderful heart!!!!!!

What made my day....
having a day off and then finding my Mystery club package in the mail.... the colors are so beautiful I just got it but I ran into the house and just had to play!
Also what made me happy was connecting with an old friend over Facebook that I hadn't talked to in years.
I love kitty kisses since I don't have a puppy! :D
Oh yeah and having spaghetti for lunch I love pasta!
I feel terrible for the people in Haiti I wish there was more that I could do personally... Thank you Karen for having such a giving heart!

What happend in Haiti is so tragic, one of my coworkers has a Haitian brother-in-law, which brings home this tragedy even more.

Here is what made my day today:
Puppy kisses and having her leap into my arms because she was so glad to see me.
Flowers from my husband (just because he loves me, nothing else)
Being told from the staff I supervise and from the family members of the residents on the unit that I work, that I would make a wonderful Director of Nursing, not that I'm interested in the job, but it is nice to know that they think I would be good at it.

My daughter said "I love you."

A student of mine from last semester came to see me today, worried about the instructor she has this semester, one who is indeed tough. I tried to reassure her, but she said she wants MY help with her papers. :D

Some of my new students thought I was in my 20's, not my true 30's. 8-)

I saw my mom today.

I heard great new tunes on my favorite radio station.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Haiti, as well as those trying to bring aid to them.

We were all able to eat dinner together as a family today... That does not happen often during the week these days. And no one complained about the food. ;)

I got a fun package in the mail and discovered some new favorite colors...

DH and I discussed our own donation to Doctors Without Boarders and we were totally in agreement on what to do.

My son practiced his viola without being asked...

I know it is several little things....but it is the little things that make up our lives.....and the things that are taken for granted until a tragedy like the Haiti earthquake happens. I am so very thankful for all of the little things. I cannot even imagine what the people in Haiti are facing. My corner of the world seems so small......so I will do what I can.
